EDITOR — Talking out of experience and having practiced pharmacy in Uganda since 1991, it is wrong for Parliament to blame the National Medical Stores or National Drug Authority for the stock piles of expired drugs at Soroti Hospital.

The problem is that Uganda lacks a large national incinerator where huge stocks of expired drugs can be destroyed.

Instead of pointing fingers, the Parliament and Government should look for an investor to put up a large incinerator to destroy huge piles of expired drugs. Or the Government must build one.
