A record number of 40 riders have registered for the second round of the national motocross championship due at Garuga on Sunday. The entrants in the Speedway Motor Club organised competition include boda-boda riders and mountain bikers.

Event manager William Blick said the show promises to be highly competitive and added the participants are ready to battle.

“Considering the strong field, this is bound to be a very interesting contest,” Blick said at a press confrence yesterday.

Blick explained that the introduction of events for boba-boda riders and mountain bikers is designed to arouse safety awareness in the motoring community.
