Diana’s lover was afraid of her

UK-Princess Diana’s lover Hasnat Khan feared that marriage to one of the world’s most famous women “would be hell because of who she was.” Khan told the inquest into Diana’s death that she decided to end their two-year relationship. The French and British inquest is looking into the deaths of Diana and Dodi al-Fayed in a Paris car crash in August 1997. Khan said he asked her to move to Pakistan and escape media attention and she refused. After her holiday aboard Mohamed al-Fayed’s yacht in the south of France in the summer of 1997, Diana told him it was over. “Dodi al-Fayed could give her all the things I could not. He had money and could provide the necessary security for her.”

Prime minister’s lover spills secrets

FINLAND-Court on Wednesday dismissed charges against Susan Ruusun, prime minister Matti Vanhanen’s former girlfriend, who wrote a kiss-and-tell autobiography, Prime Minister’s Bride about their nine-month fling. Vanhanen initially filed a complaint only against the publisher of the book, but prosecutors brought criminal charges against both the publisher and Ruusunen for violation of privacy and gaining financial gain through criminal activity. The court ruled that publishing details of Vanhanen’s personal life was not illegal because there was a different threshold for privacy for politicians in the public eye.
