WBS TV chairman and tycoon Gordon Wavamunno is a no nonsense man when it comes to his business.

During the launch of 10 new books (published by his company, Wavah Books) at Hotel Africana last Friday, the WBS TV crew arrived late for coverage and a visibly vexed Wavah wondered out loud: “Can you imagine my own employees are just arriving at my own function?”

He quickly reminded them in front of all and sundry (other media inclusive) who is boss, lest they forgot that: “WBS stands for Wavamunno Broadcasting Station.”

Not sure what to make of his utterances, some guests laughed it off while others looked on in sarcastic amusement.

But Wavah was not quite done with publicly humiliating his ‘boys’. As the two-man crew fidgeted to set up their machines, the tycoon went ahead to remind them that keeping time was among the reasons why WBS TV was the number one station in the country.

The audience seemed to pity the two young men, objects of Wavah’s fury, wondering what, their fate would be.
