It is under such conditions that they carry padlock-cutting equipment, huge bricks, logs and metals that they often use to hit doors before gaining access to a house. Once they get to the house, they terrorise the owners as they are robbed of items they have worked tooth and nail to acquire.
Some people think lighting up a place is bad but in the real sense it saves you a lot. Thieves fear being spotted by someone in the neighbourhood as they try to fidget with locks. It is for this reason that homes and premises should be well lit.

1. The bulbs should be fixed at strategic points so that the light spreads to all areas, particularly the dark spots.
