AIR Uganda and Air Tanzania have signed a code-sharing agreement for the Entebbe and Dar-Es-Salaam route. Under the agreement signed last week, Air Uganda’s flights between Entebbe to Dar-Es-Salaam would operate daily using Air Tanzania aircraft.

“Our passengers will be able to travel on any day of the week using Air Tanzania while holding an Air Uganda ticket and flight number.

“From a commercial point of view, passengers will have a great access to wider travelling options and this will result in an increase of the market for both airlines,” Air Uganda commercial director, Vittorio Scabbia, said,

He explained that as a market, a partner was important to them because they are opening their joint services to higher visibility in the two main markets.

“This is the first step in the direction of opening new services without inflating the market with unnecessary extra capacity, taking into account the real needs of the clients in terms of frequency and availability,” he added.
