Green Hill Academy and Kampala Students Centre will represent Uganda in the Students for the Advancement of Global Entrepreneurship (SAGE) world tournament in Abuja, Nigeria, next month.

The two schools emerged first and second respectively in the national secondary schools SAGE competition at Rinsar Motel Namasuba on Entebbe Road, recently.

SAGE is a global non-profit-making organisation training students in entreprenuership skills to empower them to create jobs. The organisation started operating in Uganda in February.

During the competition, Kampala Students Centre presented a paper-making business, seeking to provide Uganda with an alternative to buveera (polythene bag), while Green Hill Academy presented an audio-based revision CD.

SAGE country director Robert Okello urged the winners to prepare adequately for the tournament.

“We are inviting other schools to pick the starter pack from us and see for themselves the benefits of SAGE activities,” Okello said.
