DEMOCRATIC Party spokesperson Betty Nambooze has denied being part of the group that embarrassed Prime Minister Prof. Apolo Nsibambi at the funeral of Dr. Sulaiman Kiggundu.

on Tuesday, opposition youth blocked Nsibambi from delivering President Museveni’s condolence message at the funeral of the former national chairman of FDC at Kibuli Mosque in Kampala.

They booed him and shouted “Who invited Nsibambi?’, when the Prime Minister was asked to address the mourners.

Nambooze said she was seated next to dignitaries, who included the Judiciary spokesperson Arias Kisawuzi, MPs Sebuliba Mutumba, Nabillah Ssempala, Democratic Party leader Ssebaana Kizito and former ministers Amanya Mushega and Bidandi Ssali.

However, she added that since no one condemned the incident, the action was justified.

Nambooze cautioned that this should not be a justification for the Government to harass opposition politicians by calling them chaotic.
