EXPRESS FC goalkeeper Abbey Dhaira has snubbed Nalubaale and joined URA FC reportedly for a sh8m fee. The agile goalkeeper, who is a free agent and had no contract with Express, informed FUFA about his move yesterday. Dhaira has been given a two year contract.

In other transfer activity, KCC FC signed SC Villa’s winger Jeremmiah Sebuyiira and Express’ Godfrey Kavulu.

FUFA officials confirmed that KCC had offered Sebuyiira and Kavulu two year contracts each while URA gave Dhaira and Villa's Joseph Owino the same deal.

KCC team manager Badru Kiggwe escorted Sebuyiira and Kavulu to FUFA house yesterday. The players’ transfer fee was not mentioned.

While KCC has rejected Bunamwaya’s bid for midfielder Owen Kasule, URA axed eight players, the most prominent being Joram Katende.

“I hear Kasule has already picked a lot of money from Bunamwaya but we will refund it because he is not moving,” an agitated KCC coach George Nsimbe said yesterday.

URA reject Katende, who scored five goals for the tax collectors, was among former URA coach Frank ‘Video’ Anyau’s most expensive purchases in 2007. The 21-year-old has rejoined his former club Police.

The other players dropped by URA are Sam Naduli, David Kazibwe, Ronald Ssesanga, Hamis Kibirango, Richard Malinga, Joseph Babigumira and Godfrey Gama.
