FORMER SC Villa tactician Asuman Lubowa, who was recently relieved of his duties at the club, is mooting retirement from coaching club football.

Lubowa (also FUFA vice president — technical), disclosed that Villa official Tamale Kapera had verbally informed him about the technical bench changes.

“I’m yet to make up my mind. Certainly I will decide soon but I can’t tell now,” he said after being asked about his future. He could neither confirm nor deny fresh rumours linking him with Victors to replace Sula Kato, who has taken over his job at Villa Park.

Jackson Mayanja and Frank ‘Vedio’ Anyau are also linked to the Victors
job. Meanwhile, Express FC were due to arrive in Dar-es-Salam at 8pm last
night where they will play pre-season frinedlies against Simba and Yanga today and Monday.

Speaking from Arusha yesterday, Express team manager Mohamood Kateregga feared that the players would not put a formidable challenge in the matches due to exhaustion.

“Initially we were supposed to play the first match on Sunday after a day’s rest but this has changed to only hours.

The players will be so tired. They will only rest after playing Simba,” Kateregga noted.
