MUGEZI SS recently celebrated their Peace Day. The school located on Entebbe Road, celebrated the day under the theme Violence the wrong way of solving conflicts in a ceremony which was attended by parents.

The students acted a play and held a debate where they blamed poor feeding and favouritism for causing strikes in schools.

Ms Sophia Nabadda, a teacher said parental guidance is essential in bringing up children. “Once they watch their parents fighting, they will tussle it out with fellow students or teachers,” she warned.

Doreen Nansubuga, S2, asked male teachers to refrain from having love affairs with students and giving them answers for the exam papers because it hurts others who struggle to revise.

Irene Nakirijja, S4, suggested schools bridge gaps of communications between students and teachers by providing suggestion boxes.
