Heathens draw Team Uganda in Sevens

HEATHENS will face Team Uganda in the Pool A of the Kampala Club uganda telecom Rugby 7s tomorrow. MTN Heathens seeded top in Group A, will have to contend with a select national side in the first game of the tournament at 6:00pm.

HEATHENS will face Team Uganda in the Pool A of the Kampala Club uganda telecom Rugby 7s tomorrow. MTN Heathens seeded top in Group A, will have to contend with a select national side in the first game of the tournament at 6:00pm.
Nile is also drawn in the same pool that will be played under floodlights for the first time in the history of Ugandan rugby.
Rugby Cranes Sevens coach John Musoke is in charge of Team Uganda that will compete throughout the 7s circuit comprising of four parked events.
In Pool B G4S Pirates take on Summerkamp at 6:20pm. Summerkamp will return to the pitch at 7:20pm to face coach Herbert Wafula’s Hima Impis.
In Group C Buffaloes will face off with UCU Mukono at 6:00pm and Mukono will be back on the pitch at 8:00pm to face Rhinos.
There will be 12 games on Friday night and the tournament will resume on Saturday at 12:00noon. The quarter-finals, semi-finals and final will be played on Saturday.
Next week action moves to Jinja for the Nile 7s ahead of the Makerere 7s, a week after. The uganda telecom sponsored 7s circuit will wind up with the Kitaka Memorial 7s Sept. 19-20.
