Equip health units, govt urged
JINJA-A medical officer has urged districts and the Government to increase funding to lower health centres. Dr. Felix Onzima, the head of Bugembe Health Centre IV, said lower health units were not well-equipped. “Buildings at this centre are not up to standard and the theatre, which was constructed 10 years ago, is redundant because it lacks equipment yet we have enough skilled personnel,” he said. Onzima was conducting Jinja district leaders and their Gulu counterparts around the centre last Thursday.
