UGANDA'S badminton top seed Edwin Ekiring will start life after the Beijing Olympics by competing for his new Dutch club Velo, in the side’s own tournament at the weekend.

The African top seed failed to make it past the second round in Beijing when he fell to South Korea’s Park Sung Huan in straight sets. The weekend's tournament is expected to give him a chance to recover.

In another development final arrangements are underway for the Uganda Badminton Association to host the Post Bank badminton tournament that is slated for September 19-20 at Lugogo Indoor Stadium.
