11 schools to get boreholes

GULU district plans to spend over sh240m in drilling boreholes in 11 rural primary schools. District works and technical services committee secretary Alex Otim said UNICEF would fund the construction of the boreholes.
Gulu education officer the Rev. Vincent Oceng-Ocen recently said most schools in the region lacked safe water sources.
The schools to benefit from the project include Gweng-Diya, Paduny, Paibona and Pukony. Others are Omel, Lamin-Lato, Idobo, Jaka, Binya, Lamola and Awali.
