Desmond Tutu’s utterances shocking!

EDITOR—I was shocked to read about the retired archbishop of South Africa attacking anti-gay anglicans. Desmond Tutu has lashed out that some anglicans are “wasting time on trivial issues†instead of fighting poverty.
EDITOR—I was shocked to read about the retired archbishop of South Africa attacking anti-gay anglicans. Desmond Tutu has lashed out that some anglicans are “wasting time on trivial issues†instead of fighting poverty.
For an archbishop to call homosexuality a trivial issue is very unfortunate. How can such words come from a church leader? The bible says that righteousness exalts nations. there is no way we are going to fight poverty in a wicked society.
should we ignore the wickedness in our society and only think of nothing but fighting poverty alone? God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah because of sins like homosexuality. All the wealthy people were not saved by their riches.
The bible cautions us to seek first the kingdom of God and and his righteousness and all other things will follow. God will not bless a wicked society. We should not listen to people like Tutu who ignore the scriptures and condone wickedness.
