Uganda’s cost of living increases every single day. Look at the fuel prices and all prices of basic consumer commodities. A security guard earning sh75,000 cannot survive and will certainly be tempted to exploit any opportunity that comes by to make both ends meet.

These people have families in their villages and need to support them. what can sh75,000 do for a family? One often sees these people walking to and from home everyday.

Don’t employers feel sorry for them? I advise security agencies to raise these people’s salaries so as to curb their urge to steal. The places they guard should also give them some token incentive.
