<b>Two men held over theft</b><br>MBALE-The Police in Mbale are holding two men over attempted robbery. The eastern regional Police spokesman, Idi Ssenkumbi said Mark Omuse and James Ochieng, both Kenyan nationals, allegedly attempted to rob Siraji Lubwama, a retired army officer, of his car.

MBALE-The Police in Mbale are holding two men over attempted robbery. The eastern regional Police spokesman, Idi Ssenkumbi said Mark Omuse and James Ochieng, both Kenyan nationals, allegedly attempted to rob Siraji Lubwama, a retired army officer, of his car. The incident happened last week. The detainees were residents of Namatala, a suburb in Mbale municipality. They allegedly put Lubwama at gunpoint, using a toy pistol and two swords in the attempt to take his car near Namakwekwe Market. According to Ssenkumbi, Lubwama pulled his gun, which was in the car and scared away the thugs. Ssenkumbi explained that Lubwama tipped the Police who rounded up the thugs in the taxi park He said the two confessed to having been involved in cases of robbery in the town.
