FIFA, CAF to guide FUFA
- FIFA and CAF officials will be in the country November 21-22 to help the local federation draw up a four-year development plan. FUFA’s acting chief executive officer Edgar Watson yesterday said that the two bodies had confirmed to send officials to help out in the two-day exercise which will involve selected stakeholders from across the country.

KIU to host varsities league
- The Inter-University table tennis league comes to Kampala this weekend with Kampala International University playing host. The league, which involves university students, is aimed at building a crop of competitive players within the universities. OM Sports, Euro Asia and JB Ntenza Sports Centre are sponsoring the tournament. Teams are from Makerere,Nkumba, Kyambogo, IUIU, Ndejje, MUBS, UCU and KIU.

Uganda out of varsity meet
- Uganda will not send a team to the World University Weightlifting Championships due in Athens November 24-28. The chairperson of the National University Sports Federation of Uganda Peninah Kabenge, said Ugandan universities have not yet taken up the discipline but promised they would raise a team in future.
