UGANDA’S team has been selected among the five lucky African countries to be catered for during the third World Taekwondo Poomsae competition in Ankara Turkey.

Gabon, Sudan, Somalia and neighbours Kenya are the four other African teams who, along with 53 other countries, will be taking part in three-day event running between December 16-18.

Uganda’s bantamweight fighter Badru Ntulage and Judith Aujo, in the featherweight women category, will fly out this weekend in the company of two federation officials.

But the Uganda Taekwondo Federation president Hakim Kato said they were still worried because they had not yet received the confirmation letters.

“We had the same problem last year with the African Taekwondo championships. Our visas were rejected by the Turkish Embassy at the last minute” Kato lamented.
