Two months ago, when the gangly singer broke his legs in a freak hotel accident in Arusha, Tanzania, everyone expected him to keep off the stage for a while as he heals.
However, the singer has made a shock early return and three kanyamas (muscle men) have become part of his singing crew. Their role is to lift him onto and off the stage and to guard his injured legs from overzealous fans.
