CHRISTMAS will never be the same again for six lucky Ugandans who will on Friday drive away in Toyota Premio cars from uganda telecom (utl).

The cars are part of the ongoing Vroomula promotion, meant to give back to utl subscribers. The promotion requires subscribers to load any amount of utl airtime or send a text message to 180 to stand a chance of winning one of the 35 staked cars.

Mark Kaheru, the publicist, explained that unlike the previous cars already given out, they would this time want many people to celebrate the festive season in style.

“There is no better way than giving them cars to utilise while visiting various places,” Kaheru argued. The draw for the six cars will be conducted at the Muslim Sports Grounds near the Clock Tower in Kampala.

With eight cars already given away, 27 remain to be won in the promotion that ends in March. Meanwhile,a driver of a charcoal truck and a plumber won themselves cars after a draw at Mbarara’s Independence Grounds last week.

Michael Ochieng, a plumber with Stone Construction Company and resident of Kasubi and Sula Kazibwe, a Mbarara-based driver, received their prizes mid-last week. “I cannot imagine myself becoming a ‘my-car’ owner.

“I have been toiling with charcoal but I now hope to get a better life,” Kazibwe said as he opened the door of his new prize.
