THE Uganda Weightlifting Federation (UWF) has adopted a new format of the sport that is expected to be introduced by the international body for competition at the Olympics.
Deadlifting is a new format that Ugandans competed in for the first time at Buziga Country Resort during the national championships December 14.
“Our lifters have only been used to the snatch, clean and jerk, and press bench formats,†said acting UWF president, Salim Musoke.
