URA FC squandered a 2-0 first half lead as they started their campaign for regional glory with a draw.
Philip Obwiny had scored from the spot, and set up another as URA cruised to a half time lead against Yanga on their CECAFA Club Championship debut yesterday.
The tide changed in the second half when Yanga’s Guadance Maikima and Bernard Mwalala—former SC Villa striker-—struck for the Tanzanians.
Meanwhile, Uganda’s Police start the defence of their regional title today.
Police coach Sam Timbe, who has won the last two Kagame/CECAFA club tournaments, is seeking a hat-trick.
