Rudeness is not part of customer care!

SIR — Recently, i wanted to renew my driving permit and visited Face Technology at the Nakawa centre.

SIR — Recently, i wanted to renew my driving permit and visited Face Technology at the Nakawa centre.

I was sent to town to pay sh44,000 and advised to go back and collect my permit. After two weeks when I went back, the officer at counter 4 carelessly asked me to pay sh55,000. for what?

the man could not explain but told me “not to waste his time and if I did not have money, I should go back”! This a problem with most employers in Uganda who do not equip their employees with the knowledge of the commodity they are selling.

I would have expected Face technology at this particular time of competition to treat customers with courtesy. I think there is dire need of customer care at Face Technology.

It is important that the public be advised about what to pay and where to pay it. Rudeness, arrogance and poor public relations are not part of customer care.
