MBARARA district’s best six students from Ntare School are all eligible for a scholarship that was initiated by the Old Boys of Ntare.

Johnson Katunguka, Alvin Mwijuka, Ahimbisibwe D, Timothy Kaboya, Joshua Nahurira and Tom Mugabe emerged best students each scoring eight points.

In 1997, old boys of Ntare School resolved to award scholarships to students who score aggregates eight at O’level, if they returned to the school for A’level.

The scholarship also applies to students who score AAAA at A’level. John Kamugasha, the school’s deputy in-charge of academics said: “If they placed their first choices in Ntare School, they will get the scholarship.”

Kamugasha added that already two of last year’s best performers have been beneficiaries of a scholarship at the school.

“It would not have surprised us if we had seen everybody in the newspapers. Last year’s O’level class was a serious group, focused and disciplined,” he said.
