During the launch of the partnership between USAID and Dunavant Uganda recently, East Padibe sub-county LC3 chairman James Onenco said: “Since we handed in our memorandum to the President, nothing has yielded.â€
He said they were looking forward to making Lamwo sub-county a district and elevating Padibe Secondary School to Advanced Level.
“Could you also remind the President about the roofing funds he promised to Padibe internally displaced peoples, whose huts were burnt?†Onenco pleaded with Onek, who is also the minister for agriculture.
Kitgum RDC Nahaman Ojwee appealed to the local leaders to avoid partisan politics, as peace is ushered in.
