Barclays Bank has introduced two new accounts targeting people with low-incomes and limited access to banking services.

KAMPALA

Barclays Bank has introduced two new accounts targeting people with low-incomes and limited access to banking services.

The two products, Sanyuka Savings and Sanyuka Bank target people with a monthly income of sh100,000 and below.

Vivian Igundura, the bank’s retail director, said the minimum balance for the two accounts is sh10,000.

“The Sanyuka Savings Account offers the un-banked and under-banked the opportunity to save money in a secure environment,” she said.

300 vehicles imported
KAMPALA

Al Malik Group has imported 300 vehicles, becoming one of the biggest stockists in the country, Malik Azhar, the group’s managing director, has said. He said they already have 400 vehicles, which will bring the number of cars in their possession to 700.

“This was one of our biggest investments in the country. It signifies our willingness to expand,” he said.
