M-Net’s seventh episode of the game show had one of the best negotiators so far, Jackline Kali from Kenya. Sealing the deal at $13,800 (about sh24m) was not bad, considering some have fallen for much less.

Since case 11, her lucky pick hauled only $5, selling it to the banker at that much, was viable. She had the daring business acumen typical of the sales executive that she is.

She had managed to keep the main jackpot on the cast board and cast away most low figures, increasing her chances on good bank offers.

Perhaps she could have taken home the jackpot if only she had relied on her acumen and not trusted her friend with picking the case that buried her hopes of taking home the sh175m.

But Kali did not falter. Her plan to buy a dream house and a sports bike for her son kept her going, knowing exactly when to stop.

After running low on chances, yet she had turned down a better bank offer of $19,500, she sealed the deal before things got worse.

And since the banker surprised her with a bike for her son, she had nothing to lose.

Multichoice says there are more Ugandans waiting to try their chance on the jackpot.
