TEARS of excitement were a common sight at Crested Secondary School in Makindye last week as students competed in the music, dance and drama competitions.

The competitions were held on the school’s visiting day.
Parents were excited to see their children sing, dance and act in the different languages and cultures of Uganda.

“A society without culture is like a tree without roots. Culture is the springboard for good morals. I thank the management of this school for enjoining culture in education,” said one parent who had been moved by the wonderful presentations.

Lydia Ibingira, the principal of the school, asked parents to always be keen at identifying and developing the talents of their children.

Joel house won the competitions and received a bull.
