<b>Region to reward media</b><br><br>KAMPALA-The East African Business Council (EABC) has launched annual awards aimed at rewarding excellent reporting on the East African business and integration issues. The awards were launched in Nairobi recently before media owners and executives.

KAMPALA-The East African Business Council (EABC) has launched annual awards aimed at rewarding excellent reporting on the East African business and integration issues. The awards were launched in Nairobi recently before media owners and executives. “If the regional integration process is to succeed, it must become the agenda of all critical agencies of mobilisation and none is more powerful than the media,” said the EABC chairman Abid Alam during the launch.He explained that the media must, however, be facilitated and encouraged.He said the awards will be used to raise awareness within the media about the integration issues and its role in facilitating awareness and integration.

Healthcare fair for Mbale

KAMPALA-Enterprise Uganda is organising an exhibition on May 18 at Mt. Elgon Hotel, Mbale for investors in the health sector. The fair is aimed at educating investors in the healthcare on how to access funds to improve business management skills, Daniel Joloba, the business manager, said.
The fair to be under the theme “Growing your private health practise.”
It will have presentations on the role of the private sector in social insurance and the new initiatives being provided by banks.
