A man whom Police released after being accused of murder was beaten to death by a mob soon after his arrival in his village. Yakob Ntale was lynched in Manyama village in Bamunanika county on Friday. He was among five suspects arrested by the Police over the murder of two children. The victims were stabbed to death and their bodies dumped in a thicket. Luweero CID chief, A. Oweka said on Saturday Ntale and his co-suspects were later freed and advised not to go back home.

Delayed ruling irks Ayivu MP

Ayivu MP Margaret Angufiru has castigated Justice Patrick Onega for “taking unnecessarily long” to rule in an election petition that was filed against her by former minister Zoe Bakoko Bakoru. Onega had set the ruling for October last year but he fell sick.
