CRANES players Timothy Batabaire and Geoffrey Massa took time off training last week to tell young people about the dangers of HIV/AIDS.

The players attended the launch of the ‘Sports, HIV prevention and future leaders grooming’ programme at The AIDS Support Organisation (TASO) headquarters in Mulago hospital, Kampala.

Batabaire urged young people to abstain from sex. He pleaded:“Please abstain until marriage. And if you come across someone you want to spend the rest of your life with, first go for an HIV test.”

He gave God credit for Cranes victory over Nigeria and advised young people to always ask God for wisdom in making decisions and utilising their talents.

The two fotooball stars participated in a mock football clinic with TASO Mulago children’s football club.
