JINJA-Lice and bedbugs in prisons in the eastern region have tremendously increased. Inmates have multiple sores and skin rushes caused by the vermin. The acting eastern region human rights commission chief, Charles Kweniri, said Kaliro, Kisoko in Tororo district and Balawoli in Kamuli were the worst-hit prisons.
“Hundreds of the vermin were wondering about on the walls and floor when we visited the prisons.â€
