UNIDENTIFIED thugs yesterday attacked the marketing manager of an ice cream parlour, Rainbow International, on Seventh Street in Kampala, and slit his throat. Reddy Keshva’s killers also stabbed him in the chest and locked the body in his office.

The assailants made off with his mobile phone and an unspecified amount of money, according to employees of Rainbow.

According to the Police, Keshav, an Indian, had worked with the company for two years. He allegedly died at about midday. His wife and two children returned to India recently.

When The New Vision visited the scene, Rainbow employees stood in groups as they discussed their colleagues’ death. “I don’t know why anyone would do this. He was a very good man,” Wilson Kadimbo, who used to pick him from Old Kampala everyday, moaned.

The Jinja Road Police station chief, Joel Aguma, said a team of detectives rushed to the scene moments after receiving information about the incident.

Kampala Extra Police spokesman Simeo Nsubuga appealed to whoever has information about the murder to call 0712 745 021, 0712 745 019 or 0712 667 705.
His body is at Mulago mortuary.
