CRANE Bank has donated $3,500 (sh5.7m) towards a study tour on wetland conservation,
CRANE Bank has donated $3,500 (sh5.7m) towards a study tour on wetland conservation, writes Ayiga Ondoga.
The bank’s managing director, AR Kalan, said the donation was the corporate responsibility of Crane Bank to see that the environment, especially wetlands, are protected.
“It is a privilege for Crane Bank to participate in such an important event of protecting our environment,†Kalan added.
He promised that the bank would never interfere with the environment especially wetlands.
Two foreign experts will conduct the study for one week.
Environment state minister, Jessica Eriyo, said the study aims at getting knowledge on wetland conservation and management in Uganda.
The experts are from Zimbabwe and Mauritius.
