The wedding reception was held at Hotel Africana poolside on July 15, 2007. About 1,500 guests were invited. Sejjengo, who works with Express Couriers in East London as the human resource coordinator, married Sharifa Nansubuga Makula, a third year Mass Communications student.

Earlier, they held an introduction ceremony at Makula’s parents’ home in Lukuli Upper Konge Zone, where Ssejjengo took several gifts, including a generator, cows, clothes, kanzus (traditional tunics), a leather sofa set and a Mercedes Benz worth sh20m for Sharifa.

Ssejjengo is a son to Sheikh Kizza Kasule, the Imam of Wandegeya Mosque. The couple is organising to leave for London on a one-month honeymoon.
