IT is a year since Ugandan featherweight boxing champion, Agnes Adongo, moved her training base from Kampala to Nairobi, Kenya. Now we know why. Last weekend, during a non-title fight against Pamela Chiphiri, a Zimbabwean opponent, it emerged that the Ugandan had hooked a Kenyan lover, George Owami.

The two were seen at Charter Hall during the fight with Owami acting as trainer. Adongo, 25, whose record stands at five wins, three loses and one draw, earlier told the media she moved to Nairobi because it was the hub of women boxing in the Great Lakes region.

Snoops in Nairobi swear the romance between the two love birds is so hot that they can hear wedding bells chime in the not-so-distant future. Hmm.
