Iranian firm opens one-stop medical centre

IRAN Medical Group, a subsidiary of Afro Pars Company, has opened a one-stop centre for medical equipment, drugs, secondary school science textbooks and laboratory appliances in Kampala.

IRAN Medical Group, a subsidiary of Afro Pars Company, has opened a one-stop centre for medical equipment, drugs, secondary school science textbooks and laboratory appliances in Kampala.

The development is expected to ease the sourcing problem of medicines and medical equipment by the local health service providers.

Mohammad Reza Rezazadeh, the Iranian Fars Province governor general, officiated at the launch of the sh880m centre at Plot 13 Clamant Hill Road in Kampala over the weekend.

Dr. Hamed Razavipour, the Afro Pars managing director, Razavipour said the centre would provide affordable drugs and medical equipment for schools and hospitals in the region and the continent as a whole.

Razavipour said regional centres would be established to provide better medical services.

“We are glad to have the first Iran Medical Centre in Africa.

“We have well trained experts in medical and medical engineering who will handle our clients for one year warrant after the supply of our equipment,” he explained.
Ugandan medical practioners previously acquired their medicines and medical equipment from various sources.
