UNILEVER Uganda Ltd has donated an assortment of items to the mother who gave birth to five babies in Jinja Hospital on December 15.

Dorothy Namunana, wife of Sadique Mudhubo of Namasiga village, Busedde sub-county in Jinja district, gave birth to four girls and a boy.

The items included cartons of baby powder, nappies, vaseline, towels, milk for infants, soap, clothes, a mattress and baby carriers, among others. The Unilever brand manager, Emmy Hashaka, last week handed over the consignment to the couple at the hospital’s maternity ward in the presence of the hospital medical superintendent, Dr. Benon Wanume, and supervisor Charles Tusiime.

“We still ask you for a little more. I appeal to people to come and help these children,” Wanume said.
Hashaka also distributed soap and vaseline to other mothers in the ward.
