THE northern region Police commander, P.K. Arinaitwe, has warned Police officers against corruption, bribery and torturing suspects.

He said such misconduct could lead to mistrust between the population and the Police force.

Arinaitwe, who was last week touring Pajule and Atanga Police posts in Aruu county, Pader district, asked the officers to be on the alert during the festive season.

Arinaitwe also advised them to sensitise the local communities on the importance of being law abiding citizens.

The Pader district Police commander, Simon Peter Wafanana, who conducting Arinaitwe around the posts, said there was a good relationship between the Police and the local population in the district.
