World women’s 3000 steeplechase champion Dorcus Inzikuru’s mother, Joyce Lulua, was on Wednesday flown from Arua to Kampala under critical health after suffering an ulcers attack.

Inzikuru had to suspend her training session in Nairobi, Kenya to return to attend to her mother, who has suffered from acute ulcers and high blood pressure for long.
On October 25 last year, Inzikuru was involved in a motorcycle accident at a wooden bridge in Arua town as she rushed to buy drugs for her mother.

She suffered soft tissues around her neck, which situation she has since successfully recovered from.

Inzikuru said her mother was finding it difficult to eat because of a burning pain she felt around the inside parts of her chest and heart.

Lulua was first admitted at Ediofe health centre in Inzikuru’s home district of Arua but the health unit lacked capacity to manage her condition that doctors there described as “gastro-intestinal disorder.”
