SIR — I appeal to all God-fearing citizens of this country that as Christians we have been appointed to represent God in and outside this country. but it is with great disappointment that I read daily in the papers of “Christian†politicians insulting their opponents, telling lies and promoting disunity and hatred in the country.
God is love, so as Christians this is the time for us to rise up and shine The love of God is to all people regardless of tribe, religion, race or political affiliation.
Let us all repent and start afresh, for God is looking for a people who will worship him in spirit and truth. I believe there is hope for this nation no matter what the pessimists say. Let us unite and cry out to God to restore the “Pearl of Africaâ€.
To the politicians I say: Your opponents are not your enemies but partners in development whose divergent views should also be respected, accommodated and considered for the development of this country.
