KAMPALA City Traders Association (KACITA) has started registering casual traders in the city, Issa Ssekito, the spokesperson, said on Monday.
He said the regitration was being carried out for security reasons. “We are starting with street vendors, food vendors and parking operators. We want to get all their names,” Ssekito said. He said 20,000 casual traders had been registered.

Warehouses
THE Warehouse Receipt System (WRS) Bill 2005 will kick-out fake exporters and middlemen in the agricultural sector, the parliamentary trade and industry committee chairman, Joseph Mugambe, said last week. He said the low prices of agro-exports were due to dishonest exporters.
