THE revival of the Pakistani Association in Uganda will help improve relations between Ugandans and Pakistanis living here, Maj. Gen. Kale Kayihura, the inspector general of police, has said.

Speaking at celebrations to mark Idd Adhuha by the society at Garden city, Kampala on Sunday, Kayihura said it was vital to have good relations between Pakistanis and Ugandans.

“You have brought enormous experience to Uganda through your business involvement in the country. I call upon you to join Ugandans in business ventures through your society,” Kayihura said.

The vice-chairman of the society, Malik Azhar, commended the Police for curbing violence in Kampala city, especially during the recent political riots.
