MASAKA — Army spokes-man Felix Kulayigye has said the army will be loyal to any presidential candidate who will win the February 23 elections. He said the army had been professionalised and respects the constitution. Kulayigye was chief guest at the handover of O’Level results at Prince Kalema SS in Mukungwe.

KAYUNGA — Ntenjeru South MP candidate Tom Sserwanga has decried the poor social services in the county. addressing a rally at kangulumira trading centre on Saturday, Sserwanga, an independent candidate, said he would lobby the government to address the social problems facing the constituency when elected.

WAKISO — The DP parliamentary candidate for Entebbe Municipality, Ahmed Kauma, has asked voters to fight bad leadership if they are to stop feeding on fish bones from fish factories. Addressing supporters at Nakiwogo on Saturday, he attributed the falling standard in education in most primary schools to bad feeding.

MUKONO — Bishop Mathias Ssekamanya of Lugazi Diocese recently donated a plot of land to St. Joseph’s Secondary School, Naggalama for its excellent performance in the 2005 UCE exams. Out of the 127 students, 126 passed in division one.
