THE Government will construct a rice processing plant at Nakisunga sub-county headquarters in Mukono to fight household poverty, Janat Mukwaya, the agriculture minister, said last week.

THE Government will construct a rice processing plant at Nakisunga sub-county headquarters in Mukono to fight household poverty, Janat Mukwaya, the agriculture minister, said last week.
Mukwaya said funding would be sourced from two Japanese firms; SASAKAWA 2000 and Japanese International Cooperation Agency.
She said the construction of the plant would take off this year. She urged residents to grow more upland rice.
