<b>Man beaten</b><br>THE Police in Kabale are holding a woman said to have caused grievous harm to her husband. Judith Kiconco allegedly beat Stephen Mugasha and chopped off his lips in a fight on Saturday night at their home in Kitumba sub-county.

THE Police in Kabale are holding a woman said to have caused grievous harm to her husband. Judith Kiconco allegedly beat Stephen Mugasha and chopped off his lips in a fight on Saturday night at their home in Kitumba sub-county. Mugasha, whom Kiconco accused of infidelity, is admitted at Kabale Hospital.

Govt hires

THE Government has hired a private firm to evaluate Fort Portal Municipality properties. RESCO, a Kampala-based property consultancy firm, is to provide a report that will determine the taxes to be levied on the property.

NOTU calls
THE National organisation for Trade Unions (NOTU) has asked the government to amend the children’s Act to stop child labour. Addressing a workshop at Hotel Equatoria, NOTU chief Irene Kaboole said poverty led to increasing child labour.
