THE Pakistan Honourary consul to Uganda, Boney Katatumba, has appealed to Pakistan nationals residing in Uganda to regularise their visa requirements to avoid being caught off-guard.
Addressing Pakistanis during the flag-hoisting ceremony at katatumba Suites in Kampala yesterday, Katatumba said, “I want to salute you warmly as we mark the Pakistan National Day. I advise you all to regularise your visa requirements while in Uganda.”
He said the day brings about national unity, peace and pride to all Pakistan nationals living in various countries.
He appealed to the government to relax laws on taxes on importation of vehicles in the country, saying, “Today Pakistanis are the leading importers of vehicles, with 75% of the vehicles imported by them.”
He said next month, a delegation of Ugandans to be led by the Vice-President, Gilbert Bukenya, would visit Pakistan to seek business ventures.
Present were Malik Azhar and ambassador Charles Agaba.
