Is Kutesa the best Uganda could get?

SIR — I am disappointed that Elizabeth Kutesa, the CID boss has been seconded by the Uganda government for the east African interpool job. Are there no principled Police officers in the Uganda Police? The way Kutesa handled the investigations in the Besigye rape case badly dented her competence and integrity. Carrying out duties that will require utmost principle in evidence gathering at such high level should be entrusted to someone with a credible record. In fact after the Besigye debacle she should have resigned.
